Apple Pie Smoothie
Apple pie is one of the most famous desserts. Just by relying on the power of widely accessible apples, spices, and delicious crust we can produce a mouthwatering fantasy. This ideal comfort food is considered an unofficial symbol of the USA.
Although the oldest known printed recipe comes from England (Wikipedia), we can find a variant of this simple recipe in a large number of cuisines. The Germans have their Apfelkuchen, the Dutch have Appeltaart. Let's not forget about the most Famous Tarte makers - the French. A wide variety of pita is found in most European countries, which don't require a pie pan. South Africans have Appelterte.
So... Just to "spice" things up, and to remember Charlie Papazian, the inventor of National Pie Day (January 23rd), here is a lovely recipe for an apple pie smoothie. It's green? Yes! Have you tried adding Matcha to your smoothies? The acidity of the apples contrasts the earthiness of Matcha, and the banana compliments everything well.
Don't forget to season everything to your taste. If you're a spiced apple pie fan, you might wanna add some classic spices like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and cardamom. And if you're in the mood for something dessert-y, try adding some salted caramel, bourbon vanilla, or brown sugar.
